BIO
Myra Bullington is a costume designer and technologist for academic and professional theatre and dance. Her work includes designs for Dance Alloy in Pittsburgh, PA, Pennsylvania Dance Theatre, The Virginia Stage Company and Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
At Clarion University her designs have often been recognized with Certificates of Meritorious Achieivement from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. In 2002, she was granted a Faculty Design Fellowship at the Kennedy Center.
In addition to designing, Ms. Bullington frequently works as a draper for the Pittsburgh Public Theatre, has reviewed books for Theatre Design and Technology Magazine, and was a Contributing Associate Editor for Costume Research Journal.
Ms. Bullington earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Costume Design from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a member of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology, and Theatrical Wardrobe Union Local 787.
